THE BEAUTY WITHIN
Understand Aloe ferox better for the beauty within as well as without.
THE BEAUTY WITHIN
Aloe ferox grows on north facing hillsides across South Africa bringing a splash, or more than a splash of bright colour to the more muted landscape. Aloe ferox is mostly wild harvested – although some cultivation has started near Uniondale. It is probably one of the most highly traded wild botanical species in the world.
Similarly to Aloe vera, the bitter aloe is prized for its medicinal qualities. The hard, black, resinous product harvested from its sap is known as Cape aloes or aloe lump and is used mainly for its laxative properties and for arthritis.
